The Gallimaufry

From its opening in Spring 2012, the Bristol curios bar, music venue and restaurant, The Gallimaufry, invited me to develop a visual identity that compliments and strengthens its vision. Primarily this has revolved around a set of child-like characters who are partially hidden behind colourful animal masks. During the opening weeks I completed a mural for their stage featuring these characters playing various musical instruments. To celebrate their first birthday, a drawing was commissioned and the same again for their second year. For the third birthday music producer, Mo Kolours, was invited to perform, so the associated poster artwork referenced his identity as well as The Gallimaufry characters. I also screen-printed the illustration as a limited-run of t-shirts.
