Hand-painted sculptures. Various locations, Bristol

Bristol-based charity, The Grand Appeal, have commissioned me to paint several larger-than-life Gromits over the years.

‘Phileas Dogg’ - Inspired by ‘Around the World in 80 Days’, the brief was to represent 80 different ways to travel around Bristol. The artwork stretches a stylised map of Bristol across Gromit’s body, with 80 different ways to travel hand-stamped, using hand-made foam stamps. You can watch a process video here. The sculpture is now part of Bristol Museum’s collection.

'Sunny' is the most positive pooch around. With his uplifting colours and hippie flowers, there’s little chance of you feeling down with him around. His motivational and cheery quotes mean this Gromit is nothing but good vibes!

His ears have 'Sunny' written on each one (viewable from above), and other phrases include: Say Cheese!, Bee Happy, Good Vibes, Lovin Life, You Are My Sunshine, Stay Cool, Dreamer & Right On.

‘Feathers’ lived on Bristol's Gloucester Road, followed by Bristol's Cribbs Causeway and is now on display at The Sherborne. The artwork was constructed from tessellating my colour interpretations of birds all around the sculpture.

‘I Spy Gorilla’ (for a different sculpture trail called WOW Gorillas! - 2011) was situated at Slimbridge Wetland Centre, as well as making a brief visit to London, before being sold to a private buyer.
