Two exterior murals for a hotel and events space. Square Club, Bristol

After completing an extensive outdoor mural for Square Works, I was invited to add two further murals to the rear terrace of The Square Club. The brief was to help bridge the journey from the downstairs bar and event space, via a flight of steps, to the outside terrace.

I carried through the similar aesthetic of natural forms and plant life, with a punchy, vibrant colour palette. And, once again, included two birds to engage a storytelling aspect to the artwork and hint at the space being used for weddings, parties and networking events - places where people connect in a positive and fun way. We’re over the moon with our murals by Dave. From start to finish, Dave was a delight to work with. He really put in the time to understand exactly what we wanted for the space and created the perfect design that flowed seamlessly with the rest of the venue. He was very flexible and worked really efficiently to get our mural done on time.

A second mural, in the ‘Secret Garden’ area helps unify the whole space. The bright burst of flowers forms an ideal backdrop for event photos. Watch a short making-of video here.
