Interior community hall mural. Blaengarw
Creation Development Trust commissioned me to paint an 8x3m mural in the Blaengarw Workmen's Hall. The theme of the mural is "a walk down memory lane" and references many aspects of the local area in and around Blaengarw including its history.
Ideas for the mural were also contributed by local school children and their families. There are nods to festivities, mining history, the movie 'Very Annie Mary' (which was filmed in the Garw Valley), local characters and wildlife.
I was rather pleased about the placement of the lamps fitting the front headlights of the train.
